These evidence based birth preparation classes are an interesting mix of theory together with plenty of relaxation and practical work. Releasing fear about childbirth or parenting is a major part of the course and as a clinical hypnotherapist I gently guide you until there is a distinct change in attitude, particularly from the mothers, once this part is completed. In each of the birth classes we watch videos of my own clients telling their birth stories and also videos of labouring mums, comfortable & in good humour, with hardly a sound as their baby is born – they are all very real proof that it really is possible to experience a calm, natural birth using our techniques. Many couples are quite sceptical at the start of the birth classes and doubt that it may be possible for them to actually really enjoy birth. I have even had mothers who feared childbirth so much that they always believed they would never become a mother! However, by the end of the course everyone feels excited and confident and really look forward to the big day!

This course also allows the time to explore your feelings, relax with your partner and to resolve and release any anxieties that may arise. I'm late on in my pregnancy, is it too late?
No, don't worry. I often run private classes to help mums who have just a few weeks to go, and the course can be condensed if necessary. They totally embraced the program and went on to have a wonderful childbirth. It's about commitment rather than time. Please check out your options.
Does Hypnobirthing help with induction and twin, breech or c-section births?
Yes! Hypnobirthing will help you no matter how your birth plays out. You will know how to stay calm and relaxed, you will recover quicker and your baby will benefit from a calmer pregnancy and all those endorphins you released every time you practiced your relaxation! Hypnobirthing babies tend to be super healthy and very calm no matter how they are birthed!
I can help you prepare for these births with special MP3s and information so that you are mentally prepared.

I offer online classes for parents in other areas of Portugal and different countries, also for couples who prefer not to travel and feel more relaxed in their own home during the evening. It works perfectly. I'm still contacted by mums living in Spain or Gibraltar looking for online classes as this is where I used to live and teach.

What does the cost include?
Deposit
A deposit of £50 / 70 euros is asked for at the time of booking to secure your place.
Please pay the remaining outstanding amount before or on the first day of the course.
Deposit payment can be made by bank transfer or cash. Please contact me for details.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings cancelled with less than 4 weeks notice will incur a £100 cancellation fee.
